Recently, I participated in Omaha Fashion Week and did make-up for two designers. I also do photography make-up. I graduated with my massage license from the Omaha School of Massage in October 1997. I am currently a part time level 2 massage therapist and have worked at Gloss Salon & Day Spa since January 2002. I specialize in Swedish Massage, Hot Stone, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy Massage, Body Treatments and Spray Tans. I recently attended a workshop on Structural Muscular Balancing. It is a method of improving neuromuscular communication in the body, rebalancing energy flow in the tissues, and releasing tension. I will be incorporating this method into my massages as needed. I love being a massage therapist because I enjoy working with people and helping my clients improve their mental and physical health.

I have been practicing massage therapy for over five years, almost two of which here at Gloss Salon. I am currently a Level 2 Massage Therapist. In addition to my education in massage therapy, I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Nebraska Wesleyan University. I enjoy combining that knowledge to offer a customized massage experience for each client. I have continued my education with classes in reflexology, cupping, and carpal tunnel syndrome. I also specialize in Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and prenatal massage. I am trained in all of the body treatments. I love helping people feel their best!

I have received additional training in Hot Stone massage, Pregnancy massage, Reflexology, ear candling, and body treatments. I especially enjoy doing pregnancy massage. I've been a licensed cosmetologist for nine years and joined the Gloss team in March of 2003. I am a level 4A Redken Master Specialist. I attended Capitol School of Hairstyling in 2001. Upon graduation, I have been attending advanced classes in cutting and coloring throughout the years. In the fall of 2008, I finished all the classes in order to become a Redken Master Specialist. In January of 2009, I was lucky to go to the Redken Symposium in Las Vegas and attended classes taught by top Redken artists including Sam Villa, Patrick Mcivor and Rodney Cutler. I was able to bring back many new ideas and techniques to the salon and my guests. My goal this year is to attend the Redken Exchange in New York City and take Redken's Color Certification test to become a Redken Certified Haircolorist.
I love being able to give each guest the look they are striving for and the tools they need to achieve that look. One of my favorite services to do is color because there are so many different ways to use it to create a new look. If you don't want to change the style or cut of you hair but you want a new look, color is the way to go! I like to keep up on new styles and trends to share them with my guests in a Lookbook that is updated seasonally.
In October 2010 I was able to go to New York City to the Redken Exchange. I took the Redken Certified Hair Colorist Exam. It is a three-part exam that tests our knowledge and technical skills in Redken Haircolor. It is also one of the most recognized and elite status in the Redken brand. In December 2010, I received notice that I am now a Redken Certified Hair Colorist!!!
In December 2010, I also took a class in Pureology Certification. Which means I am thoroughly knowledgeable in their product line. I look forward to using my skills and knowledge on my guests!

I graduated from Xenon International Academy in 2002. I am a level 4 cosmetologist and have been with Gloss Salon since April 2005. I specialize in hair color, cutting, special occasion styles, manicures, pedicures, and face waxing. I love working in this industry! I continue to advance my education. I was recently certified in Pureology. In December 2010, I became a Redken Certified Hair Colorist. This means I have the highest technical skills in the industry and have achieved Redken's "Standard of Excellence" in the area of hair color. I am very excited to continue growing through education. It is an amazing feeling when you have helped someone feel better about themselves!

I have been a stylist since 2002. I worked in Lincoln, Nebraska until moving to Omaha. I have been working at Gloss since February 2008. My favorite service is hair color, although I like variety and enjoy doing all services. I have recently been promoted to a level 2 stylist. I am very excited to continue growing and putting a smile on more and more faces. I love trying new ideas! I have also added a new service to offer: Easilengths hair extensions. I am enjoying this new adventure. I have recently become a Certified Redken Specialist. I am also Pureology certified. I learned a lot of great things at both of these classes. I have been working with Gloss Salon since June of 2008 as a cosmetologist. I am currently a Level 2 stylist. I received my cosmetology and esthetics licensed from the Salon Professional Academy in Ames, Iowa. I am now a certified Redken specialist. I am also Pureology certified. Education is very important to me and I am confident that you will notice this while receiving your service with me. I attended a Hands-On Creative Design Class with Redken's Artistic Director, Chris Baran. I also attended the 2011 Peel's Spring Show where I took a class with Wendy Belanger and Max Demars from Pureology. I specialize in highlighting, coloring, cutting, special occasions, manicures, pedicures and brow waxing. My favorite part of my job is learning new styles/ trends and teaching my clients how to wear their look every day!

Education is important in my career as a stylist. I have recently attended two foil placement class in which I learned new techniques in color placement. I just became a Certified Redken Specialist. The Certified Redken Specialist class consisted of product knowledge, specifics on ways to cut hair, and color applications. I am also certified in Pureology.
